Manual Milling

We have three manual milling machines one with a part CNC control. This has been really useful in training our apprentices.

The machines are very useful for prototypes and where the customer needs a quick modification to a component, they are used when a part exceeds the travel or guarding on our CNC machines.

Additional information

DCV Precision is very strong on its heritage and traditions on conventional machining principles and our manual machine shop is at the heart of this even today.

All our apprentices start their first 6 months in the manual machine shop learning the basic principles of engineering. From basic turning, milling, grinding, and fitting, a hands-on grounding to create an experienced machine shop worker ensures we can take on a wide range of manual projects that need adaptability of thought and years of experience.
